Browser issues

Are kp.org pages displaying incorrectly or are you having trouble connecting? Are the buttons on a webpage not working? Try these tips to troubleshoot these and other common web browser issues.

  1. Make sure your internet connection is working.
  2. Check the “About” section under your browser’s “Settings” menu to see if your browser is up to date.
  3. Clear your browsing history, cache, and cookies. See the steps below if you need instructions.

If you’re still having trouble, see the tips below.

Your computer operating system (OS) and web browser versions need to be compatible with kp.org. This allows you to sign in and have site features work.

To see the full list of compatible browsers, visit our technical information page.

A cookie is information from a website saved by your web browser. It allows a site to recognize and personalize itself for you.

Your browser must accept kp.org’s cookies. This allows you to sign in, use secure features, and view personalized information. For example, when you allow us to know your location, we can tell you about pharmacies near you.

Our cookies don’t contain information about your personal identity or health history.

If you need help with cookies, you can consult your browser's Help menu. Or visit this site on how to enable cookies in your internet web browser.

The cache contains temporary files the browser uses to load pages faster. Clearing them may resolve issues with signing in and loading websites.

Clearing the cache and cookies is safe for your computer and shouldn’t remove any critical data. It’s also an excellent way to protect your personal information.

After you clear the cache and cookies, close your browser. Then reopen it and try using the website again.

If you need instructions on how to clear the cache and cookies, see the links below:

Using your monitor's recommended screen resolution makes images clear and text sharp. Some operating systems call the screen resolution the display resolution.

Don’t know your monitor's recommended display resolution? Here’s how to look up that information:

On Windows:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select “Display settings.” Or go to “Settings” and search for “Display.”
  2. Find the “Display resolution” option in the Display settings window that opens. The recommended resolution should be labeled “Recommended.”
  3. After selecting the recommended resolution, you may need to click “Apply” or “OK.”

On macOS®:

  1. Click the Apple® menu in the top left corner of your screen. Select “System Preferences” or “System Settings.”
  2. Select “Displays.”
  3. Select your monitor. The recommended resolution will usually be labeled “Default.”
  4. If it’s not already selected, choose the recommended resolution.
  5. After selecting the recommended resolution, you may need to click “Apply” or “OK.”

If the recommended resolution is not labeled, research the monitor's settings. Visit the manufacturer's website and look up your monitor's model. Or look it up in your monitor’s user manual.

Test the new resolution

Make sure everything on your screen appears sharp and fits on the screen.

If the recommended resolution doesn’t fix your problem, go back to your previous settings.

Restart (if necessary)

You may be asked if you want to restart your computer. Some operating systems need this step to apply the new settings. If asked, restart.

Bookmarks and favorites are ways to save webpages so you can easily find them again. Some webpages, like those personalized for you, may not work when accessed this way.

If you’re having trouble with saved kp.org pages, you may need to remove them from your bookmarks or favorites. For help with this, visit this site on how to delete bookmarks.
